Meet Our Peyronie's Disease Specialists

Every treatment recommendation is made following a comprehensive clinical assessment by our specialist team. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we assess your symptoms, examine your condition and recommend the treatment that is most appropriate for you. Our priority is providing honest, personalised advice based on your individual diagnosis, whether that involves focused shockwave therapy or an alternative treatment option.

Clinical Expertise, Supported by Lived Experience

Our team understands Peyronie’s disease from both a clinical and personal perspective. Alongside our experienced medical professionals, Charles brings first-hand experience of living with Peyronie’s disease for 17 years and undergoing two surgical procedures. This lived experience provides a valuable understanding of the questions, concerns and emotional impact that can come with the condition, helping patients feel understood and supported throughout their journey.

Hear From Someone Who Has Experienced PD360™

My Experience With Peyronie’s Disease and PD360™

Peyronie’s disease can be difficult to talk about. Many men spend months or years searching for answers before feeling comfortable discussing their symptoms with a specialist.

In this short video, one of our patients shares his personal experience of Peyronie’s disease, why he explored PD360™ and what the treatment journey meant to him.

This video describes one patient’s experience. Individual results vary, and similar outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Why I Developed PD360™

The thinking behind PD360™

By Mr Leon Almashan

Clinical Director &
Men’s Health Specialist

“If Peyronie’s disease is a multidimensional condition, why shouldn’t we take a multimodal approach to treating it?”

Since 2013, I have worked extensively with men experiencing erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease. Over time, one thing became increasingly clear to me.

Peyronie’s disease is rarely just about the bend.

The condition involves abnormal scar tissue forming within the tunica albuginea, the fibrous layer surrounding the erectile chambers. This can affect penile curvature, length, shape and flexibility. For some men, it also contributes to erectile difficulties, pain and significant distress.

I became increasingly interested in whether a more comprehensive treatment approach could help address these different problems together. My thinking was straightforward:

If Peyronie’s disease is a multidimensional condition, why shouldn’t we take a multimodal approach to treating it?

I began investigating how treatments with different intended clinical roles might be combined within a structured programme. This involved reviewing existing research, collaborating with clinicians, undertaking advanced anatomical training and developing techniques informed by experience in other areas of medicine.

The result was PD360™.

A coordinated treatment programme combining selected clinic-based therapies with a structured home programme.

An important part of this development has been measuring patient outcomes and submitting our initial clinical findings for independent scientific review.

PD360™ represents an ongoing process of clinical development, evaluation and refinement.

Understanding Peyronie's Disease

Why a comprehensive approach may be appropriate

Peyronie’s disease is a connective-tissue condition involving the development of fibrous plaques within the tunica albuginea.

These plaques can alter how penile tissue stretches during an erection.

The condition can also change over time.

Active phase

During the active phase, pain and changes in curvature may occur.

Stable phase

In the stable phase, pain often improves, although the deformity may persist.

Depending on the location and extent of the affected tissue, men may experience:

  • Penile curvature
  • Shortening or loss of length
  • Indentations or hourglass deformity
  • Penile pain
  • Erectile difficulties
  • Problems with penetrative intercourse
  • Reduced sexual confidence

Not every man requires intervention, and not every treatment is suitable for every stage of the condition.

That is why PD360™ begins with an individual clinical assessment.

Your PD360™ Clinical Assessment

Understanding your condition before recommending treatment

Our assessment considers the physical, functional and personal effects of Peyronie’s disease.

Where appropriate, further clinical investigations may be recommended.

We also discuss your treatment goals and the available options.

Following assessment, we explain whether PD360™ may be suitable or whether another approach would be more appropriate.

If we believe PD360™ is not the right treatment for you, we will tell you.

We evaluate factors including:

  • Penile curvature
  • Plaque characteristics
  • Erectile function
  • Pain
  • Changes in penile length
  • The effect on sexual activity

What Is Included in PD360™?

Different treatments. Different clinical roles. One coordinated programme.

PD360™ combines selected treatments with the aim of addressing different aspects of Peyronie’s disease.

The programme may include:

fSWT

Focused Shockwave Therapy

European guidelines recognise focused shockwave therapy (fSWT) as an option for penile pain in the active phase of Peyronie’s disease.

Research has also explored plaque changes, although evidence for correcting curvature in trials of shockwave therapy alone remains mixed and requires further investigation.

See Clinical Evidence for focused shockwave therapy
PRP & HA

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

An emerging Peyronie’s disease treatment using platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood, combined with hyaluronic acid injected directly into the plaque.

Published studies have reported improvements in curvature, pain and erectile function, and research into PRP–HA continues to grow.

EMDA

Electromotive Drug Administration (EMDA)

A technology that uses a controlled electrical current to deliver medication directly to the plaque through the skin, without needles.

A randomised trial reported improvements in curvature and plaque size. Any prescription medication requires individual assessment and authorisation.

See Clinical Evidence for EMDA
Traction

Penile Traction Therapy

A mechanical treatment with randomised controlled evidence supporting improvements in curvature and penile length in selected patients.

See Clinical Evidence for penile traction therapy
Prescribed support

Erectile-Function Support

Including prescribed medication where clinically appropriate, following assessment by an authorised prescriber.

Adjunctive treatments

Additional Supportive Technologies

Selected adjunctive treatments may be considered following assessment.

The individual treatment plan is determined by clinical findings, suitability and patient priorities.

The treatments have different levels of supporting evidence, and the effectiveness of the complete PD360™ combination has not yet been established in controlled trials.

Real Patient Success Stories

Had painful erections as well as sex with my curvature, Peyronie’s disease. Curvature was extreme with indentation, penis wasn’t full and looked shrunk. I’m happy a approached Mansmatters and got the PD360 protocol injections with shockwave, now I don’t have pain anymore, my erections much stronger than ever before, longer lasting erections, more morning erections and random erections. My curvature improved by 70% . Got my sex life back. I highly recommend Mansmatters to any man with Peyronie’s curvature.

PD360™ Clinical Research

We believe our own treatment should be studied too.

MansMatters conducted a prospective observational study involving 20 consecutive men with Peyronie’s disease treated between February 2025 and February 2026.

All participants were treatment-naive.

Five had active-phase disease and 15 had chronic-phase disease.

The study evaluated penile curvature, erectile function, plaque firmness, pain, sexual confidence, sexual performance and patient-reported improvement.

All 20 men completed the four-session protocol and attended the scheduled follow-up assessment one month after the final treatment.

Results from our initial 20-patient study

Outcome Recorded finding
Patients 20 consecutive men
Average curvature before treatment 53.0°
Average curvature at follow-up 26.6°
Average curvature reduction 26.4° (approximately 50%)
Patients with measurable curvature improvement 19 of 20 (95%)
Average erectile-function score (SHIM) 13.2 before, 23.1 at follow-up
Average SHIM improvement 9.9 points
Patients reporting pain at baseline 12
Pain resolution at follow-up 12 of 12
Patients reporting much or very much improvement 19 of 20 (95%), using an adapted improvement scale

These figures describe the outcomes observed in this particular group of patients. They are not guaranteed results for future patients.

What about safety?

No serious adverse events were recorded during the study’s short follow-up period.

Four patients experienced mild injection-site bruising, and three reported temporary post-procedure discomfort.

All recorded minor adverse events resolved without additional intervention.

The study was too small and follow-up too short to establish the complete safety profile or exclude uncommon or delayed complications.

Understanding the limitations

This was a small, single-centre observational study without a control group, with follow-up one month after treatment. Curvature was assessed by an unblinded clinician using patient-supplied photographs.

Because there was no control group, the study cannot establish how much of the observed improvement was caused by PD360™, which components contributed, or whether improvements will persist long-term. Results are preliminary and not guaranteed.

Publication and peer review

Our manuscript, A Standardised Multimodal Regenerative Treatment Protocol for Peyronie’s Disease: A Prospective Observational Study of Clinical Outcomes in 20 Consecutive Patients, has been submitted to BMC Urology for independent peer review.

Until publication, these results should be identified as findings from our submitted, unpublished clinical manuscript.

We intend to link to the full study once it becomes publicly available.

FAQs

PD360™ FAQ’s

PD360™ is a structured treatment programme for men with Peyronie’s disease. It brings together several approaches, which may include focussed shockwave therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and hyaluronic acid injections, electromotive drug administration, penile traction and medication where appropriate. Your plan is built around your individual assessment.

PD360™ is designed for men who have been diagnosed with, or suspect they have, Peyronie’s disease. This can include symptoms such as curvature, pain, a lump or changes in shape and erectile weakness. Suitability depends on your symptoms, medical history and the stage of your condition, which is why every patient starts with a in clinic assessment.

You’ll have a confidential consultation with a clinician to discuss your symptoms, and medical history. This is followed by an examination. You will then be talked through the options that may be appropriate for you, so you can make an informed decision with no obligation to proceed.

Most men find treatment very tolerable. You may feel some brief discomfort during sessions. Mild bruising or tenderness can occur afterwards and usually settles within a few days. Most men carry on with normal daily activities straight away. Your clinician will explain any possible side effects and aftercare before you begin.

A typical PD360™ programme involves four monthly appointments, usually one appointment per month over four months. Your clinician will explain the timings and follow-up relevant to your plan.

Yes. We understand this can be a sensitive subject. All consultations are private, and your information is handled in line with medical confidentiality and data protection and CQC requirements.

The core treatments in PD360™ have been studied in clinical trials and published in peer-reviewed journals. Our own observational study of 20 men is the first to evaluate the complete PD360™ protocol and recorded an average 50% reduction in curvature. It is now under independent peer review, and larger controlled trials are the next step.

No. Outcomes vary, and the preliminary observational study cannot predict an individual result.

Some men with stable disease and significant deformity may benefit from specialist surgical assessment. We will discuss suitable options during your assessment.
