Real Patient Success Stories

I had Peyronie’s Disease for 3 years. I was depressed thinking is this it, am I gonna live with this. My erections were poor, my curvature was 45 degrees to the left side and 40 degrees up. My relationship suffered. But the results were great. I did the PD360 here; my penis improved, no more erection problems, in fact it’s 100% better. And curvature to the left side is no more and upward 30 degrees. My partner noticed sex is better, harder erections, longer lasting and it doesn’t slip out anymore. It helped restore my relationship and confidence. I am glad I didn’t just accept it or do surgery.

Patients Assessed by Our Clinicians

How Can Peyronie's Disease Change the Shape of the Penis?

Peyronie’s disease can change the shape of the penis in several ways, with curvature being only one possible presentation. Some men may experience narrowing, indentation, an hourglass shape or reduced stability during an erection. Identifying the nature and extent of these changes helps our specialist team assess your condition and determine whether NanoVi® could play a supporting role alongside other therapies within your personalised treatment programme.

01
Penile Curvature

One of the most recognised signs of Peyronie’s disease is a new or worsening bend in the penis. The curvature may develop upwards, downwards or to either side and can vary considerably between patients.

02
Hourglass Deformity

An hourglass deformity occurs when part of the penile shaft becomes narrower, creating a pinched or hourglass-like appearance during an erection.

03
Indentation

Some men develop a visible indentation or dip along one side of the penile shaft. This can create an uneven appearance and may occur alongside curvature or narrowing.

04
Hinge Effect

The hinge effect describes an area of reduced stability where the penis may bend or buckle during an erection, potentially making sexual intercourse more difficult.

05
Penile Shortening

The tissue changes associated with Peyronie’s disease can sometimes cause a noticeable reduction in penile length. The extent and impact of shortening differ between individuals.

06
Penile Narrowing

Narrowing may affect a specific area of the penile shaft and can develop alongside other changes, including indentation, curvature or an hourglass deformity.

Where NanoVi® may fit into treatment: NanoVi® does not act directly on penile curvature or deformity. Instead, it may be used to support the body’s natural cellular repair processes alongside treatments that more directly address the symptoms and tissue changes associated with Peyronie’s disease.

How We Diagnose Peyronies Disease

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Before recommending NanoVi® or incorporating it into a wider treatment programme, our experienced clinicians conduct a thorough assessment to understand your condition, evaluate your symptoms and determine the most appropriate combination of therapies for your individual needs.

1. Initial Enquiry

Your journey begins with a confidential enquiry to our specialist team. We’ll listen to your concerns, answer any initial questions and explain what to expect from your consultation, helping you decide whether an assessment at our Knightsbridge clinic is the right next step.

Before your clinic visit, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your symptoms with a member of our experienced team. This confidential conversation helps us understand your concerns, answer your questions and ensure you are booked into the most appropriate consultation.

During your appointment, our specialist team will discuss your symptoms, medical history and how your condition has developed. We also consider factors such as erectile function, current medications, diet, lifestyle and any other health conditions that may be relevant, helping us build a more complete understanding of your individual circumstances.

A private physical examination allows our specialist to assess the location and presentation of plaque and any changes to the shape of the penis. This can include the direction and degree of curvature, hourglass deformity, indentation, narrowing, hinge effects and shortening, helping us understand how Peyronie’s disease is presenting in your individual case.

Using the information gathered during your consultation and examination, our specialist team will assess the presentation and stage of your Peyronie’s disease, including whether it appears to be in the acute or chronic phase. We will explain our findings clearly, discuss how the condition is affecting you and answer any questions before recommending treatment.

Following your assessment, we’ll recommend a personalised treatment plan based on your diagnosis, symptoms and goals. If focused shockwave therapy is the right option for you, we’ll explain how it works and what results you may be able to expect. If another treatment would be more appropriate, we’ll explain this honestly and discuss the available alternatives.

Once you’re happy to proceed, your treatment will begin at our specialist Knightsbridge clinic. Every session is delivered by experienced clinicians using advanced focused shockwave technology, with your progress monitored throughout your treatment to ensure the best possible outcome.

Acute and Chronic Peyronie's Disease Compared

Peyronie’s disease can develop differently from one person to another, and understanding whether the condition is in its acute or chronic stage is an important part of your assessment. Each stage can present different symptoms and changes, which our specialist team considers when discussing the most appropriate treatment options for you.

Early Stage
Acute Peyronie’s Disease
The acute phase is the earlier, active stage of Peyronie’s disease, when symptoms may still be developing or changing over time.
  • Penile curvature may still be changing
  • Pain or discomfort may be present, particularly during erections
  • Plaque and scar tissue may still be developing
  • Changes in shape, indentation or hourglass deformity may appear
  • Erectile function may also be affected
During assessment, our specialist team will consider how long your symptoms have been present and whether your condition is still changing before recommending treatment.
Stable Stage
Chronic Peyronie’s Disease
The chronic phase is generally considered the more stable stage, when the curvature and other changes have stopped progressing.
  • Penile curvature is typically more stable
  • Pain may have reduced or resolved
  • Plaque and scar tissue are usually established
  • Deformities such as bends, indentation or hourglass narrowing may remain
  • Erectile dysfunction can continue alongside the condition
Understanding whether Peyronie’s disease is acute or chronic helps our clinicians assess your condition and discuss the treatment options that may be most appropriate for you.

FAQs

Peyronie’s NanoVi Therapy FAQ’s

NanoVi® is a non-invasive therapy designed to support the body’s natural cellular repair processes. During treatment, the NanoVi Exo® produces a stream of humidified air carrying specific biological signals. You breathe this air normally through a small nasal tube while sitting comfortably.

The NanoVi Exo® applies specific electromagnetic signals to humidified air, which is then delivered through a small nasal tube. These signals are designed to support healthy protein activity and the processes the body naturally uses to repair damaged cells and respond to oxidative stress.

NanoVi® supports the body’s natural cellular repair processes. At Mans Matters, it can be incorporated alongside therapies such as Focused Shockwave Therapy and EMTT to provide a broader treatment approach based on the patient’s symptoms, diagnosis and individual clinical needs.

NanoVi® may provide cellular repair support within a personalised programme addressing the symptoms and tissue changes associated with Peyronie’s disease. Our clinicians assess penile curvature, plaque, narrowing, indentation, discomfort and erectile function before recommending the most appropriate combination of treatments.

Each therapy performs a different role within the treatment programme. NanoVi® supports natural cellular repair, while Focused Shockwave Therapy and EMTT provide more targeted support to the affected tissues. Combining these approaches allows our clinicians to create a more comprehensive programme for each patient.

NanoVi Exo® is included within the clinic’s six-session multimodal programmes for Peyronie’s disease. The recommended number and combination of treatments will depend on your symptoms, diagnosis and clinical assessment. Your treatment plan and costs will be explained clearly before you begin.
